How do I . . .?

How do I sign up for e-stubs?
New Hire / Rehire:
There are two main items that need to be in place in order to view your pay stub electronically. First, employees must be set up to receive their earnings through direct deposit. Second, employees need to let their Payroll Tech know that they would like to view their pay stub electronically. Payroll Techs may then enter IPOPS transactions, which will update the employee’s personnel record.

Current Employee:
Current employees need to be set up on direct deposit and need to let their Payroll Techs know that they would like to view their pay stub electronically.

Note: When employees sign up for direct deposit or switch their financial institutions from one to another, they will receive a paper check for the first pay period. If everything matches and looks clean, employees will be able to view their pay stub electronically the next pay period.

How do I get my User Name and Password?
New Hire / Rehire:
After employees are setup on the State Controller's payroll system, a security mailer will be created for each employee. This mailer is marked with the following statement, “Secure Information Enclosed.” The security mailer contains your user name and password necessary to log on and view your electronic pay stubs. If you have not received your security mailer by the time you receive your first pay check, please contact your payroll tech at your agency.

Current Employee:
State employees (except university employees) that are currently working have already received a security mailer, which includes a user name and password to access electronic pay stubs.
