Subject:Amended Idaho State Travel Policies and Procedures
Effective July 1, 2001
Sent Date:05/14/2001

On February 16, 2001, Governor Kempthorne signed House Bill #36. This change in Idaho Code §67-2008 requires the State Board of Examiners to set the meal reimbursement rate in the State Travel Policy that does not exceed the IRS rate.

The Board of Examiners amended the Idaho State Travel Policies and Procedures, Regulations 12, 13, and Appendix B on per diem reimbursement at their May 8, 2001 meeting. This resolution goes into effect July 1, 2001.

Attached is a copy of the amended Regulations 12, 13 and Appendix B. The policy is also on the State Controller’s Office’s website (www.sco.state.id.us) under Board of Examiners.

The out-of-state meal reimbursement rate is $30.00 per day, but will allow the higher federal allowance in those locations published in IRS publications. The link to the federal guidelines is:

If there are any questions, please contact Keith Johnson or Phyllis Richards at 334-3100.

Thank you.
