STATE BOARD OF EXAMINERS
Minutes – November 21, 2017 – 8:55 a.m.

The regular meeting of the State Board of Examiners was called to order pursuant to Idaho Code §67-2002 and by the order of the chair at 8:59 a.m.

The following board members were present: Governor C. L. “Butch” Otter, Secretary of State Lawerence Denney, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden and State Controller Brandon Woolf.

State Controller Woolf introduced the consent agenda items.

Attorney General Wasden asked for a moment of personal privilege to introduce a member of the audience, a Nampa High School student Jacob Buxton.

Attorney General Wasden then moved to approve the consent agenda. Secretary Denney seconded the motion. The motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.

State Controller Woolf introduced the informational agenda items.

Attorney General Wasden moved to adjourn the meeting. Secretary of State Denney seconded the motion.
There being no further business before the board and on motion duly made and seconded, THE MEETING OF THE STATE BOARD OF EXAMINERS WAS ADJOURNED at 9:00 a.m.

3. Ada County Sheriff’s Office – Recommend Approval
    Request for payment pursuant to Idaho Code, 31-2219, in the amount of $4,269.52 for costs incurred by Ada County for the transportation of prisoners sentenced to ISCI and transported to the Ada County jail for July 2017 through September 2017.
4. Department of Administration Division of Public Works – Recommend Approval
    Request for recognition of assignment from 3R Investments to Apartment LLC, a transfer of interest in the real property lease by and through the Idaho Industrial Commission, as “Lessee,” and Lessee’s occupancy of 35 Wildcat Way, Suite A, Kellogg, Idaho.

    5. Office of the Attorney General
      a) Notification that Paul J. Augustine of the firm of Augustine Law Offices, PLLC, has been appointed pursuant to Idaho Code §67-1409 as a Special Deputy Attorney General for the purpose of representing the State of Idaho, Industrial Special Indemnity Fund in the matter of Brent Gerdes.

      b) Notification that James D. Johnson of the firm of William Law, in P.C. Missoula, Montana, has been appointed pursuant to Idaho Code §67-1409 as a Special Deputy Attorney General for the purpose of representing the State of Idaho, in the matter of Humane Society of the United States v. U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

      c) Notification that Anthony M. Valdez of the firm Valdez Law Office, PLLC has been appointed pursuant to Idaho Code §67-1409 as a Special Deputy Attorney General for the purpose of representing the State of Idaho, Industrial Special Indemnity Fund in the matter of Juan Carlos Estrada.

      d) Notification that Paul J. Augustine of the firm of Augustine Law Offices, PLLC, has been appointed pursuant to Idaho Code §67-1409 as a Special Deputy Attorney General for the purpose of representing the State of Idaho, Industrial Special Indemnity Fund in the matter of Anthony R. Cornwall.
