The Idaho State College Savings Program (IDEAL), offered through the state of Idaho, provides families with an affordable way to save for college. The governor, state treasurer, attorney general, state controller and superintendent of public instruction, or appointed designees thereof, constitute the Idaho State College Savings Program Board. The board develops, implements and manages the state 529 college savings program (IDEAL) adhering to rules and guidelines of the U.S. Treasury, U.S. Internal Revenue Service and Idaho State Tax Commission (I.C. 33-5401 to 33-5408).
