Public Information Requests
State Controller Donna M. Jones believes in the citizen’s right to know how the government conducts its business. In compliance with the Idaho Public Records Act, Idaho Code §§9-335 through 9-348, this office has adopted a Public Records Request Policy. It is shown here to better inform the public of their rights and responsibilities under the law.
With the exception of confidential records, which by law are exempt, certain information acquired and maintained by this office is available to the public under Idaho’s Public Records Act. This office does not maintain details of financial transactions or the accompanying documentation; therefore, specific information regarding a particular state agency should be requested from the agency itself.
