On January 11, 2007, State Employees may view and/or print their 2006 Online Form W-2 from the State Controller’s Office web page.
Instead of waiting for days or weeks for a Form W-2 in the mail, in minutes, you can print a copy from the Web. This online service also allows you to access copies of your Form W-2s from previous years back to tax year 2002.
Please note the changes that have been made to the Online Form W-2 in 2006.
- If you choose to view your Form W-2 online, you will not receive a paper copy in the mail.
- Employees terminated after 12/31/05 are now able to access their W-2 on the web.
To access your Online Form W-2, logon to the SCO applications via the Online Logon: https://www.sco.idaho.gov/defaultweb.nsf/mainframeset.htm
You will be prompted for the user name and password you use to access I-TIME or Pay Stubs. Once at the Application Menu Page, click ‘Form W-2’. Consent is required prior to being able to view your W-2 online. You will be prompted to read the ‘Terms of Use’ and click the ‘I Accept’ button to proceed.
NOTE: Once you have agreed to the terms of use, you will not be prompted for consent each time you enter this application, unless you have ‘Removed Consent’. You may elect to ‘consent’ and ‘remove consent’ at anytime during the year.
To have your password reset, send an e-mail to scohelpdesk@sco.idaho.gov from your State of Idaho e-mail address. If you do not have a State of Idaho e-mail address, please contact the payroll/personnel technician at your agency and they can send the e-mail on your behalf.
Some advantages to viewing the Form W-2 online
If you have consented to view/print your 2006 Form W-2 from our Web page, you will have the advantage of obtaining a copy of your Form W-2 two weeks before your paper copy is mailed. Another advantage would be that you no longer worry about lost or stolen mail and you can have access to your Form W-2 even while away from home.
Online access vs. Mailed Paper Copy of Form W-2’s for Tax Year 2006
Employees are not required to access their Form W-2 online. Therefore, additional processing is required to determine those employees have elected the online version and those who will still receive a paper copy of the form. As of January 23, 2007, you must choose from the actions below:
View/Print Online (No paper copy) - Employees who have accessed the online application and accepted the ‘terms of use’ as outlined above, consenting to online view/print only.
Paper copy mailed to your home - Employees who have not accessed their Form W-2 online or who have withdrawn consent. The anticipated mailing date for paper form W-2s is January 25, 2007.
Participation in the W-2 Download of tax year 2006
This year the State of Idaho will be participating in the W-2 download program through Turbo Tax. However, the CCH’s CompleteTax download program is no longer available.
Duplicate W-2 Requests
The State Controller's Office will not process requests for duplicate W-2s until after January 31, 2007. After that date, the State Controller's Office will charge a $5.00 fee for all duplicate W-2 requests.
