The state of Idaho 2008 online ‘Form W-2‘ is now available via the State Controller’s Office Website. Paper Form W-2s will be mailed later in the month.
During the next few months, both the State Controller’s Office and the employing state agencies are expected to receive an increase in calls regarding W-2 availability and Web Application Password resets. The information below will assist you with employee inquiries regarding the ‘Password Reset’ process.
For security reasons, the State Controller’s Office can not accept password reset requests from personal or other non-official e-mail addresses. Therefore, the password reset process works differently for an employee with a valid state of Idaho e-mail address and for an employee without a valid state of Idaho e-mail address.
- Valid state of Idaho e-mail address:
This employee would be given two options.
Option 1: When logging on, click on the ‘Forgot Password’ button. Answer the challenge question. If the correct answer was submitted, a message will display the e-mail address that the new password will be sent (employee should verify the address). Click ‘Submit’ and a message confirming the e-mail was sent will be displayed.
Option 2: Request a password reset via e-mail to scohelpdesk@sco.idaho.gov
- No valid state of Idaho e-mail address:
This employee will contact the agency’s Security Administrator or the agency’s I-Time CPO to request SCO to reset the password. (e-mail sent to scohelpdesk@sco.idaho.gov

NOTE: During exit interviews, employees leaving your agency employment should be reminded that they will have access to their pay stubs and W-2s online for at least one full year after leaving state employment and password information is required to continue this access.
