The Idaho Service Union Local 687 (SEIU) has asked the Division of Statewide Payroll to make changes to their voluntary deduction (#763).
SEIU has been in contact with the affected employees. If the employees or you have any questions about this change, please contact Andrew Hanhardt at 343-1038.
The changes are as follows:
The due structure has changed. The deduction will be withheld from the employee on payroll as a percentage of the employee’s gross pay. The percentage rate they set is 0.75% of gross wages, with a minimum deduction amount of $6.50 and a maximum deduction amount of $12.50.
The deduction will no longer be set up in IPOPS using a dollar amount. Therefore, in the drop down box for Deduction Codes and Descriptions, the deduction will show as 763-001 and the Deduction Amt will not be available.
SEIU has mandated that the deduction be taken twice a month, (App Code 5).
Beginning with the February 6, 2009 pay date, any employees currently participating in the 763 deduction will automatically be updated to reflect these changes.
