Subject:State Controller's Office Training Registration Update
Sent Date:11/01/2007

FROM:
Darla Rankin, Deputy Controller
Division of Statewide Accounting
Brandon Woolf, Deputy Controller
Division of Statewide Payroll

The Office of the State Controller offers training opportunities for all of our Accounting and Payroll applications to better serve the needs of our users. The demand for these classes remains high, and additional classes have been added at critical times to facilitate the training needs. We have been experiencing an increasing number of registered attendees who do not show up or call to cancel their registration. Our seating is limited, so when this happens it reduces the opportunity for others to participate in the training. Because of this, we have found it necessary to implement the following guidelines to register for training at the SCO.

Effective November 1, 2007, the attendees’ supervisor or fiscal officer must approve all registrations. E-mail registration requests from their supervisor or fiscal officer can be sent to SCOtrainer@sco.idaho.gov . In the event the registered attendee does not attend the scheduled training, the supervisor or fiscal officer will be notified.

We request the fiscal officer, supervisor, or registrant notify us as soon as it is known if an individual will not be attending the class. This may allow others on waiting lists to participate.

Parking in the Capital Mall area is very limited. Attendees should allow ample time to park, in order to arrive for training a few minutes prior to class time.

We appreciate your cooperation. Working together will allow us to continue these cost-saving, agency opportunities. If you have any questions, concerns, or other training needs we may be able to provide, please feel free to contact us at SCOtrainer@sco.idaho.gov.
