The Supplemental Life (430) deductions are required by Group Insurance to be taken on the first pay period of each month. During a recent audit, it was discovered that some employees have the deduction set-up with various app codes*.
Attached is a list of employees at your agency that have the deduction set-up to be taken on the wrong pay period of the month. It is necessary to change these app codes in order to process the Supplemental Life Premium holiday later this year. These employees need to be informed of the necessity to change the app code to 1 (1st pay period of the month). In addition, all employees that currently are coded as app code 4 (Every pay period of the month) will have a change to the amount (double) as well.
All changes must be made and in effect by the September 9th pay date. Please let the affected employees know of the change and code them via IPOPS no later than August 24th.
