Subject:2009 United Way Deduction Changes

DSP will be turning off all existing United Way deductions on Friday December 19, 2008.

To re-establish an existing United Way deduction, only the amount and/or app code is required to set the deduction to active status.
NOTE: If your agency would like a list of all employees currently participating in United Way contact the DSP Helpdesk at the
number listed below.
      An IPOPS action is required for ALL employees requesting to participate in giving to the United Way (whether re-establishing or setting up a new deduction).

Be sure to use effective date December 14, 2008 for all United Way IPOPS actions (the pay period begin date for the first payroll in 2009). To insure timely processing, it is necessary to have all United Way actions in “Awaiting Release” status on or before December 24, 2008.

Please do not send the campaign cards to the Division of Statewide Payroll.
