STATE CONTROLLER JONES NAMES DARLA RANKIN TO HEAD STATEWIDE ACCOUNTING DIVISION
Boise, Idaho –State Controller Donna Jones announced today the appointment of Darla Rankin, a veteran of the Idaho State Controller’s Office since 1994, to head the Controller’s Statewide Accounting Division.
“Darla brings 30 years of government experience and impeccable credentials to the position of Deputy Controller over the Division of Statewide Accounting,” said Jones.
“To find the best qualified and most highly skilled person to lead our Statewide Accounting Division, we looked internally first, and found the ideal candidate for this important position in our team.”
Rankin, a Certified Public Accountant who earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Public Administration from Boise State University, has been recognized by the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) as a Financial Manager of the Year. Additionally, she’s a Certified Government Financial Manager and a former Boise State University Top Ten Scholar.
“I’m honored to have this opportunity to work with Controller Jones and to continue serving Idaho’s state agencies and taxpayers as head of the Statewide Accounting Division” said Rankin.
In her current position Darla oversees statewide financial reporting, internal control systems, the management and development of statewide accounting systems, and the daily operations of statewide accounting processes. |
