Leave Allocation - DOL

Leave allocation occurs when Week 2 payroll processing is sent to State Controllers Office (SCO).  The rolled up information is available on the time sheet after SCO uploads time sheets.

  • Leave is allocated by week based on the hours worked in that week in the cost center the leave is being charged to.

    • For single-TEL employees: the leave will always be allocated to the one TEL they belong to, they have no option to select any other TEL on their time sheet

    • For multi-TEL employees: Employees must select a cost center for all leave hours. The leave will be distributed based on leave coded in the week the hours were worked. If an employee works in multiple cost centers the leave will be allocated based on hours worked in the cost center the leave was charged to.
  • If no hours are worked in the week, or cost center the leave is coded in, the leave allocates against the PCN defaults.
  • The leave allocation submitted to DOL will break down the leave code by activity code in each week.  This could result in several lines of data for each employee.
