Additional information:

“No Active Position Found” error occurs when the employee’s position effective date is > the pay period begin date. The system will look for an active position in history that would have been valid prior to the pay period begin date. A new employee has no position history which causes this error to generate.

Employee scenario

  • Original Hire Date 4/6/20
  • Pay Period Begin date 04/5/20
  • Result = Error - “No Active Position Found"
  • Reason for error - There is no position history and the employee was not active on the pay period begin date 4/5/20.

 If the employee had just changed positions on 4/6/20, the system would have been able to find the employee's prior position in history effective 4/5/20 and message would not have generated.
