Password Resets​

SCO Web Applications - Password Reset Procedures

All password resets will be sent to the user's email address on file with the State Controller's Office via Secure Email

Forgot Password

If you do not remember your password follow the steps below:

  1. To access user applications sign-in page select any SIGN IN button.
  2. Begin SIGN IN by entering your user name and agency code. 
  3. Select “Forgot Your Password."
    • A message will appear containing your email address.
    • If this is your correct email address, answer the challenge question and select “Submit."
    • If this is not your correct email address, select “Cancel". Please see Invalid Email Address below.
  4. A new password will be sent to the email address on file with the State Controller's Office.

Changing Your Password

  1. To access user applications sign-in page select any SIGN IN button.
  2. Begin SIGN IN by entering your user name and agency code
  3. After successful sign-in select the user menu in the upper-right, then select Change Password.
  4. Enter your current password.
  5. Enter a new desired password.
  6. Select “Submit".

A pop-up message will confirm the password change was accepted. The new password will be available for use approximately 30 minutes after it was submitted. A new challenge question will need to be established.

Invalid Email Address

All password resets will be sent to the user's email address on file with the State Controller's Office.

 

Active State Employees – Changes to an employee's email address must be made through the self-service application in IPOPS or by contacting your agency HR/Payroll department.  The State Of Idaho Controller's Office cannot make the address change for you.

Former State Employee - The request must come from the requesting employee's e-mail address on file with the State Controller's Office or from the Agency Security Administrator at your previous agency. 

STARS Vendor – Changes to vendor (VND) access and e-mail addresses should be sent to DSAHelpline@sco.idaho.gov

Payroll Vendor – Changes to vendor (VND) access and e-mail addresses should be sent to DSPhelp@sco.idaho.gov


 

 

STARS or Mainframe Password Reset Procedures

Expired Password

If your password has expired:

  1. Enter your Userid and 'old' password
  2. In the 'New Password' field enter a new password and press Enter.
  3. The system will then ask to confirm the new password. Re-enter the new password again.

Forgot Password

If you do not remember your password or are 'locked out':

  1. Contact the Security Administrator at your agency, or e-mail us at SCOhelpdesk@sco.idaho.gov.

Password reset requests must come from your State e-mail address.

Please include one of the following messages depending on which password needs reset:

  • I need my CESN password reset. My Userid is ...
  • I need my DSYS password reset. My Operator ID is...

CESN Userid and Password signs you in to the mainframe.

DSYS Operator ID and Password signs you in to STARS.
