Central Payroll Officer - CPO

CPO - Central Payroll Officer - The agency I-Time CPO is empowered by the head of the agency to submit each payroll authorization on his/her behalf ensuring true and accurate information.  In addition to processing payroll, agency CPOs can create, edit, disapprove, or approve time sheets and make changes to the agency I-Time structure and employee profiles.  The role of CPO is established by submitting an online Security Access Request form to the State Controller's Office.

  

Guide to biweekly payroll processing week:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Note:  If a holiday falls on a payroll processing week, deadlines may be earlier.  Please review the Payroll Processing Calendar. 

Monday

  • All time sheets should be in 'Awaiting Completion by CPO' status. 
  • Verify any IPOPS actions affecting payroll processing (hires, separations, rate and position changes, etc.) have been submitted.
  • Verify any IPOPS MVA's affecting payroll processing have been submitted.  
  • Verify all leave donation forms have been submitted (Friday was the deadline). 

Tuesday

  • Review time sheets and make corrections as needed.
  • Verify all time sheets are true and accurate to the bets of your knowledge.

Wednesday

  • All time sheets must be submitted to SCO no later than 3 pm.
  • SCO runs payroll preprocessing.

Thursday

  • Review payroll pre-processing messages in Online Reporting, including the  report.
  • All retrieved time sheets and IPOPS actions must be in 'Awaiting Release' status no later than 3 pm.
  • Verify all corrections, adjustments, and leave donations have processed correctly.
  • SCO runs final payroll.

Friday

  • Review final payroll processing messagespayroll processing messages in Online Reporting.
  • Contact SCO with any changes that need to be made.

 

Pay Day Week 

Wednesday 

  • Direct Deposit Reversal requests for any MVA Voids must be emailed to DSPHelp@sco.idaho.gov by 10:00 am. 
  • Notifications of any new garnishments will be sent to agencies and employees today. 

Thursday 

  • Payroll warrants are mailed to any employee not on direct deposit. 

 Friday 

  • Best day to update direct deposit information.
