IS - Inactive, Suspension with or without Pay (pay status = B)

Purpose: This action allows an agency to place an employee on suspension with pay during an investigation or specified disciplinary period.
 
Note:  To avoid disruption of the employee's insurance coverage, a time sheet with payable earnings or leave without pay (LWO) must be processed for the number of hours the employee is normally scheduled to work.
 
LWO earnings (leave without pay) should be coded for those employees that are not receiving a gross pay.  The use of this earnings code will generate employer costs for health/life insurance if the employee is currently enrolled in the state’s insurance plan.  In addition, the LWO earnings code does not accrue credited state service.
 
Employee’s current pay status must be equal to A (active) or I (inactive without pay) in order to use this change reason.
