Personnel

Purpose:  Personnel actions allow an agency to make the following changes for an employee:  Direct Deposit, Name/Address Changes, Employee Voluntary Deductions, Employer Deductions, Personnel Changes, Personnel Remarks, SSN Changes and Tax/Workers Compensation Code Changes, and Employee Sick Leave Request. 
 To create a Personnel action for an employee follow the steps below:
  • Enter the employee's Social Security Number or choose the employee by using the last name search.
  • Click Next to continue.

 

 

Direct Deposits - Used to establish, update or delete Direct Deposits for employees. This includes establishing direct deposits for employees already on the EIS system, adding and/or changing financial Institutions, changing the account code number, changing account types, changing partial amounts or deleting direct deposits.

Employee Information/Address - Used to change the last name and appendage, first name, middle name, mailing address, mailing city, state, zip code and update e-mail addresses.

Employee Voluntary Deductions - Use the Employee Voluntary Deductions action to establish, update and inactivate employee voluntary deductions.

Employer Deductions - Used to update the Employer Deductions for employees. The insurance tier level and deductions that may be updated include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance and retirement.

Personnel Remarks - Use for actions that cannot be completed with a regular change reason on IPOPS, this will communicate to DSP that a correction or update needs to be done.

SSN Change - Use the SSN Change to correct a Social Security Number that may have been entered incorrectly.

Tax and Workers Compensation Changes - Both Federal and State Tax information can be updated. In the federal area you may change the resident state, marital status, withholding, federal exempt, state exempt, FICA exempt and federal additional amount. In the state area the following information may be changed:  state, marital status, withholding, state additional amount and workers compensation code.

Employee Sick Leave Request - Allows state employees to donate their sick leave hours to another eligible state employee's leave balance, in addition to still being able to donate vacation hours through the same process.

Personnel Change - When inputting personnel documents the change reason description can be used as guide for specific options in each field.
