Luma Strategic Delivery Priorities

  • Reconciliation: Strengthens financial accuracy by automating the comparison of treasury and accounting transactions, improving reconciliation speed across agencies and reducing manual effort required to identify discrepancies.
  • Performance and Goals Enhancement: Modernizes the employee evaluation process with standardized appraisal forms, structured goal setting, and automated notifications to help agencies manage performance consistently across state government.
  • 1099 Processing: Improves tax reporting compliance by automating the generation and distribution of required vendor tax forms, reducing manual processing and supporting timely reporting.
  • Expense Management and Purchasing Card Enhancements: Focuses on improving travel expense and purchasing card processes to increase efficiency, strengthen oversight, and reduce administrative workload for agencies.
  • Statewide Accounting Report Templates for Policy Owners: Develops standardized reporting templates and automated reports to support budgeting, auditing, and statewide policy oversight with more consistent and accessible financial data.​

February 2026 SCO Internal Release Notes

Key highlight: System usability, workflow accuracy, and reporting visibility improvements were implemented across Finance & Supply Management (FSM) and Human Capital Management (HCM), strengthening process reliability and user experience​.
  • Key Feature or Improvement: Approval escalation logic was corrected to ensure invoices route through all required approvers in the proper sequence, restoring compliance and audit-aligned approval processing.
  • ​Key Feature or Improvement: PT RET ELIGIBLE work type accrual mappings were corrected so eligible employees now properly accrue sick leave, vacation, and holidays, while retirement deductions are aligned with policy during Military Leave.

SCO Release Management is responsible for planning, coordinating, testing, and deploying Luma updates. This process ensures updates are properly integrated and tested before release, helping minimize disruption to users. These updates are provided by the software manufacturer and include fixes, enhancements, and new features that improve Luma functionality, security, and performance. Updates are delivered as scheduled releases so the system can remain current without requiring a full system upgrade.​
